Nimble Streamer provides recording and playback capability for incoming live streams. Read this article to see how it is set up and used.
Current incoming streams formats are
RTMP,
RTSP,
SRT,
UDT,
MPEG-TS,
Icecast and SHOUTcast
Outgoing playback streams formats are
HLS
and
MPEG-DASH.
For HLS both HEVC (H.265) and AVC (H.264) content is supported in fMP4 and MPEG2TS containers simultaneously.

Nimble Streamer is the media server with full MPEG-DASH feature set which includes DVR playback.
A set of APIs allows automating DVR setup for your streaming infrastructure. Please check WMSPanel API reference for DVR settings section.

Nimble Streamer can be installed in a couple of small steps and upgraded to the latest version by running two or three simple commands in console.
